King Tiger Taekwondo offers structured child care programs designed to support working families while helping children grow physically, mentally, and socially. Through daily Taekwondo training, supervised homework time, and engaging activities, students develop confidence, discipline, and strong peer relationships in a safe and positive environment. Our programs provide reliable care, enrichment, and peace of mind for parents throughout the school year and summer months.

About The Program

Our child care programs combine martial arts training with structured daily routines that promote responsibility, focus, and fun. Students participate in Taekwondo classes, receive homework support, and enjoy supervised free time in a safe setting. Transportation is available from many local schools, making the transition from the school day smooth and convenient for families.

After School Program

We provide pick-up service from local schools | Taekwondo class | All daycare during teacher workdays | Fun and educational activities

Our program offers a convenient pick-up service from local schools, ensuring a smooth transition from the school day to an engaging and structured environment. Students participate in Taekwondo classes, where they build confidence, discipline, and physical fitness. On teacher workdays, we provide full-day care, giving parents peace of mind while children enjoy a safe and enriching space. Our program combines fun and education, offering a well-rounded experience that keeps kids active, learning, and engaged every step of the way.

Transportation:

We can pick up your child from the majority of the schools in and around the community. For those who do not need transportation, ask the staff about our discounted rate.

Pick up schools inculde: Creekside, Eastern, Elmhurst, Ridgewood, Wintergreen, W.H. Robinson, Winterville Charter, C. M. Eppes, and A.G. Cox middle.

Daily Activities:

We follow a set schedule of fun, structured daily activities that help promote comfort and organization for our after-school children. Upon arrival, the children’s daily activities consist of:

Taekwondo class: Practice and learn core fundamentals of martial arts like Courtesy, Self Control, Self Discipline, Confidence and of course Self Defense.

Snack Time:

We provide a snack every day after homework time.

Homework Time:

We emphasize the importance of good grades in school as disciplined students of the martial art. Homework or "focus" time is critical, and the students are provided with the help of our staff to help them understand their homework assignments.

Free Time:

After the children finish their homework, they can relax and enjoy their supervised free time to participate in a games, read, talk to their friends or play outside in our fenced back yard!

King Tiger Taekwondo Summer Camp is more than just a camp—it’s a place where children come together to build friendships, grow, and thrive.

We provide a supportive environment that fosters love, respect, and the spirit of Taekwondo. Through our program, children develop confidence, mindfulness, and a sense of personal fulfillment—all while having fun and embracing the joy of everyday life.

Our summer camp offers children a fun and healthy experience while promoting growth and learning.

Each day, they’ll engage in educational programs that spark curiosity and development. With a balance of Taekwondo, games, and structured exercise, campers stay active while building confidence and new skills.

Our program based on Taekwondo and Korean Martial Art

  • Teach them to be fit for life.
  • Develop confidence and respect for elders. 
  • Develop excellent relationships with peers.

Daily Activities:

We follow a set of fun, structured daily activities that help promote comfort, organization, and consistency for our summer camp children. The children’s day includes Tae Kwon Do class where they practice and learn core martial arts values such as Courtesy, Self-Control, Self-Discipline, Confidence, and of course Self-Defense, all under the guidance of our highly trained staff and instructors.

In addition to martial arts training, we provide engaging educational activities throughout the day that support learning, creativity, and personal growth. Students also enjoy exciting weekly field trips, giving them the opportunity to explore new environments, build friendships, and create lasting memories in a safe and supervised setting.

What is the earliest age children can begin classes?

Regular children's classes begin at 5 years old. We do, however, offer a Little Tigers Program for 4 and early 5 year olds.

Can I buy uniforms and gear at the dojang?

Yes! We have uniforms and gear in stock. We may need to order gear if it is not in stock.

Do you accomodate children with special needs?

In most cases yes, but because of the way our classes are structured, we offer a free trial to assess if we are able to accomodate specific needs.

Am I allowed to observe my child’s classes?

Yes, of course! We have two viewing windows that you can sit at to view the class.

Do you teach adults?

Yes, we have adult specific classes to accommodate all levels of athleticism.

How long does it take to earn a black belt?

Earning a black belt is a journey that requires consistent attendance, effort, and dedication. While timelines vary by student, our program focuses on building strong fundamentals, character, and discipline at every belt level. That being said, if you are consistent with training and belt exams, it should only take about 3 years.

What should my child wear to their first class?

Comfortable athletic clothing (like a t-shirt and sweatpants or shorts) is perfect for a trial class. If you decide to enroll, we’ll help you get properly fitted for a uniform.

How often do students attend classes?

We have membership options that range from 1-3 time a week. Most students attend 2 classes per week. We’ll help you choose a schedule that works best for your goals and availability.

Do you offer a free trial class?

Yes, we offer a free trial class so you can experience our program, meet the instructors, and see if King Tiger Taekwondo is the right fit for you or your child.
